The Process: A Kundalini Training Module 2

In the technology of Kundalini Yoga, your physical body is but one of your bodies. You are also comprised of three mental bodies—which determine how you make your choices and how you interpret and digest your experiences. Then you also have six energetic bodies. These energetic bodies govern everything from your creative life purpose, what you emit and absorb, to your “alive-ness” and the capacities to discern, commit, and command.

The foundation of Kundalini Yoga lies in one word: sadhana. Sadhana literally means “daily spiritual practice.” It is this consistent repetition of a personal practice that creates the optimal environment for spiritual expansion. “Sadhana is self-enrichment. It is not something which is done to please somebody or to gain something. Sadhana is a personal practice in which you bring out your best.” – Yogi Bhajan

In this condensed 5-hour training module, these topics will be covered:

* An awareness of each of the 10 Bodies.

* Signs of balance & imbalance in the 10 Bodies.

* The anatomy of personal sadhana & the Aquarian Sadhana.

* Shortcuts—the breath, mantra, community, and resources.

* Take home exercises from (1-3 minutes) to (2-1/2 hours).

We’ll practice a Kundalini Yoga kriya that works on the physical body and mental bodies. The meditative portion will be focused on the arcline—the etheric energetic body that serves as your steering wheel in life. Over Kundalini-charged cake with dandelion tea and snacks, the particulars of sadhana will be discussed. The final portion is take home exercises, shortcuts and resources, to keep the momentum up in your practice. An original mini-book explaining material from this training will be provided.

This training is part of a greater 4-module training (The Process: A Training for Practicing & Preparing to Teach a Kundalini Yoga Kriya, The 10 Bodies & the Anatomy of Sadhana, The Master’s Touch: Mechanics of the Meditative Mind, and The Science of Sound & the 11th Embodiment). Each module counts as 5 contact hours, and is available for Continuing Education credits with Yoga Alliance. Upon completion of all 4 modules, a verifying 20-hour completion certificate will be sent to each participant. (Note: this training is not part of the requirements for KRI’s Level One program to become a certified teacher of Kundalini Yoga, and does not provide eligibility for IKYTA membership.)
